Using a Single Products Without Variations to Sell Books with Easy Digital Downloads

If you are using a single product without price variations to sell your books, you will have the option to choose the book to connect to as well as formats included with the purchase of this product:

The format option(s) you choose here are simply for display purposes to tell the customer what formats are included in the purchase. You can choose one or more formats, depending how you choose to sell your books. 

For example, if you include all digital formats in a single purchase, you would select ePub, Kindle, and PDF.

If you want to sell your books so that each format is a separate purchase, you would only select one format, for example “ePub”. Then you’d create additional Easy Digital Downloads products for each additional format, choosing the appropriate format for each one.

The rest of the Easy Digital Downloads settings are set up just the same as if you weren’t connecting to Mooberry Book Manager. Please refer to the Easy Digital Downloads Documentation for specifics on how to set up your product.

Here is an example of a book being sold with all digital formats included in a single purchase. In the Files section, add a new file for each format included in the purchase.

Once your product is set up in Easy Digital Downloads and connected to a book from Mooberry Book Manager, purchase buttons will be added to your book page. Here is what the book page for the above example product will look like. Mooberry Book Manager has added the Buy Direct button. (to change how this button appears see the Settings section.)

If you set up multiple Easy Digital Downloads products for a single book, multiple buttons will be added:
